Welcome to the Greater Dallas Chapter of the
Military Officers Association of America. This unit
was established in October 1967. Membership is open
to any retired, active duty, former or reserve
officer, including Warrant Officers, and widows of
uniformed officers.
We publish a monthly newsletter, The
MOAA REPORTER, which gives information on
membership, meetings and Auxiliary meetings,
legislation, local initiatives and other information
of interest.
We are active in
our community through our Personal Affairs Programs,
Junior ROTC, Service Project (Greet the Troops at
DFW Airport), Scholarships and our Legislative
activities.
Meetings are held on the
third Saturday of even months at the Oakridge
Country Club in Garland, Texas. There is a social
hour at 11:30 and meal and a program starting at
12:00 Noon. Our programs are varied and interesting.
We encourage members to suggest future program ideas
and to bring guests and prospective members.
We welcome non-members to attend a meeting - the
camaraderie is terrific.
For 2008, we have meetings scheduled for the
following dates:
February 16, April 19, June 21, August 21, October
18
and our annual December Holiday Party (TBD).
Visit this site often for updated meeting
information.
